Fonteyn was founded in response to the need for a high school for learners who graduated from the local primary school. The community had, for years struggled to enroll their children in neighbouring high schools. The dream was to have a high school that would produce excellent results. Fonteyn high has lived to fulfil that dream.
One of our well celebrated annual events is our Prayer and Speech & Prize Giving Day. It is a day when we send off our completing students and celebrate the achievements of our learners with their parents.
